James (Jim) went to work in his family owned business, never intending to stay there. Olan Mills Portrait Studios was a $35M, privately held company run by his two uncles. More than 20 years later he left as CEO/President of a $600M company with operations throughout North America and Europe. As family challenges began to impact the company, the Mills family hired a family business consultant, introducing Jim to this relatively new field. He soon determined that his passion for family and his extensive executive leadership and business experience, provided him a unique skill set to the field of family business consulting.
